What Marine Grade means to The Wirie systems:

Are you tired of products claiming to be "marine grade" that are not? We are too! We take the term "marine grade" very seriously. The Wirie systems are rated at IP67 (all parts used in the manufacturing of The Wirie systems meet or exceed IP67) to assure no water ever gets to the sensitive electronics. Also, all components used in manufacturing The Wirie/The Wirie^AP are marine grade.

Here is what we offer to assure you a truly “marine grade” product:

1. Antenna - Our custom built 8dBi omni-directional double sealed marine grade WiFi antenna is built by L-com/Hyperlink, a top U.S. antenna manufacturer, exclusively for use with The Wirie and The Wirie^AP. (Click here for more details about our antenna.)

2. Enclosure - The IP67/UV resistant waterproof box of The Wirie systems allows easy access to upgrade the WiFi unit as technology improves.

3. Mounting Brackets - The Wirie and The Wirie^AP have custom built stainless steel marine grade mounting brackets.

4. Mounting Hardware - The Wirie systems use 18-8 stainless fasteners and a forged aluminum saddle clamp for pole mounting applications.

5. Wire glands - IP67 rated wire glands for cable entry into enclosure are used in The Wirie and The Wirie^AP.

6. Cable - The Wirie^AP comes with 40' (12M) of marine grade tinned boat cable.
